I have not removed the white spacer - but the questions about the setting on the jet are bothering me.
The procedure I have always used when setting the low speed jet is
1. crank the RPM up to about 3000-3500
2. turn the screw in and out to obtain the highest possible rpm's
3. reduce the idle speed to normal.
You cannot just start turning the air screw with the bike at normal idle and expect to get the setting correct or for that matter to even hope to have the setting close.
Try giving this routine a try Billy Bob and any else who is puzzled over this - you will see that the air screw does impact on the revs and when it is set- the bike will be running with the correct mixture
Keep the rubber side down
